WHO WE ARE

We are a small country church, with a traditional worship style. While our congregation is a great mixture of ages, we do have a number of families with children.

Should you decide to join us, we hope you and your family will have a warm and spirit-filled experience with us as we worship and fellowship together!

MORE ABOUT US
WHEN WE MEET

Our Traditional Church Worship Service meets on Sundays at 10:30 AM. We ask that each attendee respect the health of our senior members.  We appreciate your decision whether to mask or not, but ask you to be accountable for that decision.

Our Tuesday Night Bible discussion group meets at 7:00 pm at the home of Charles and Tootie Jones. You must be vaccinated, or masked and socially distanced. If you have any questions, please contact the pastor for more information!

CALENDAR

NEW TO OUR CHURCH?

  • What does Asbury United Methodist Church Believe?

As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.

United Methodists believe in the authority of the Scriptures.  However, we also believe that the Bible should be read with an eye on reason, personal experience, and tradition.  United Methodists are missionary people reaching out beyond the local church to the community, locally and globally.

At Asbury we seek to fulfill our mission as Christ followers through our relationship with each other.  We pray for each other, encourage each other to grow in faith, and hold each other accountable to the Christian life.  A Christ follower without a community of faith has no one to pray for them, no one to encourage them in the faith, and no one to hold them accountable.  Come join our family!  You will be glad that you did.

  • Can I request prayer online?

Absolutely! Our Asbury United Methodist Church would love to pray for you. If you are in need of special prayer, click on the "Request Prayer" button in the bottom right corner of the website. Here, you have the choice to keep your request private, only for our pastor, or to be made public to the church- so that more may pray for your need. If you are looking for a church to call home, we hope you will join us this week!

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:6-7

  • How can I support the church?

If you would like to make a monetary donation in support of our church, you can do so quickly and securely from right here on our website! When you click on the "Giving" page, you will be directed to our convenient donation portal. Here, you will be able to give to whichever fund you would like. If you prefer, you can also make your donation a recurring gift.

If you would rather give with a physical check or money order, stop by the church at 14113 Fleetwood Dr. Nokesville, Virginia 20181 or send us a message today for more information.

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." -Malachi 3:10

  • How should I contact the church?

We are here to answer your questions! If you would like to send us a direct message, feel free to use the convenient contact form found under the "Contact Us" tab. This message will go directly to our pastor, and we will get back in touch with you as soon as possible! If you would prefer to give us a call, our church is available by phone at (703) 594-3015. We look forward to hearing from you!
